South Yorkshire D.A. helps Charity every year.........

Our chosen charity for 2012 is YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE. Yorkshire has two air ambulances one based at LEEDS/BRADFORD airport and a second one at BAGBY AIRFIELD, Thirsk. They operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year and rely solely upon donations from individuals and organisations to help save lives accross Yorkshire - an area of some 4 million acres with a population of 5 million and both aircraft cover the whole of the region. The ambulances cost £7,200 per DAY to keep airborne - £2.65 million per year.
